a3 2l tdi sportbackpolice siren noise during acceleration. started a week ago and im not sure whether this is a repair or whole new turbo system.car has just passed 80k miles and is serviced regularly have had the car for just under 2 years.

Nicola

there is no power loss noticed. have black smoke on tick over and pulling away. checked turbo and end float is a lot can touch side of chamber no noise when in use though. think oil but very little not sure may be coming from turbo as oil containments on boost sensor maf sensor not sure about if on map sensor and yes has both map and maf sensors. no noticeable drop in oil this is why not sure if oil is from turbo but pipes to and from intercooler are a bit oily.
